About Us

We are a 501(c)(3) volunteer-run organization living the Gospel message of loving our neighbor by helping the poorest of the poor to become self-sufficient. It is our hope that as they are empowered, they can in turn, empower others as well.

Inspiration

This organization came into being as a result of a life-changing trip undertaken in 2001 to Kenya and Tanzania in East Africa and Zambia in Central Africa. Dr. Margie Sweeney landed in Nairobi, Kenya on 9/11 and her life was forever changed! After much prayer and discernment, Helping Hands Healing Ministries, Inc. was born.
