Illegal Signs

Now that it is getting into spring & summer, please remember that Metro Government has an ordinance that states that signs of any kind are not allowed on any public right-of-way or attached to any utility electric pole, speed limit sign or stop sign or any city sign. This ordinance also includes the medians on Furman Blvd. Signs are also not allowed to be posted in the area between sidewalk & street. All signs must be put up in your own private yard only. If any signs are seen or put up in these areas, they will be removed.
This is one of many goals in area cleanup that the Highate Springs Neighborhood Assoc.is inforcing. We believe that over the past 2 years that we have been inforcing this ordinance, there has been a significant decrease in signs that have been put up & never removed.
So, if you see an illegal sign, remove it and help us in this cleanup effort. Thank you
