In the historic Highland Park TNI one can glimpse early 20th century Los Angeles in the surviving craftsman houses and commercial building from that period. Today's Highland Park has evolved into an electric, vibrant community representative of L.A.'s many cultures. Although Highland Park has a distinctive neighborhood feel, signs of neglect and encroaching blight are becoming apparent. The area's great potential for revitalization lies in the residents, many of whom have resided here for generations and who have family members living around the corner.
