2004 OFFICERS BEGIN NEW TERM
Andy Nelms was elected President of the Association at its January 8, 2004 annual meeting held at the Vaughn Park Church of Christ.
Helms term follows a two-year term served by Elizabeth Via Brown, and an eight-year term filled by Charles Barnette. During Mrs. Brown's term, the association was renamed, bylaws were written, the dues structure was changed, a permanet mailbox address was established and newsletter enhanced and logo were developed. Neighbors participated in a neighborhood wide Spring clean up day and holiday lighting event this past December.
Nelms, who moved to Hillwood in 2002, got to know the neighborhood last fall when he walked to every home during his election attempt for City Council Distrct 7. He is employed as a tax attorney at Parnell & Crum, PA downtown. Andy and his wife, have a .
Serving with Andy on the Association's Executive Committee are Secretary Barbara Grant, a Pine Needle resident, and Treasurer Austin Wade, a Fair Forest resident, both of whom are returning the their respective positions. Area vice presidents and other officers and street and block captains are to be appointed.

The boundaries of Hillwood stretch from Zelda Road to Perry Hill Road, south of Interstate 85 and north of Vaughn Road, near the center of metro Montgomery.
