Well, it was voted on...

...by the board AND the association to phase this one out and go to the e-list venue. So, democracy rules and ya gots ta defer to the majority. The e-list ain't bad at all, and the logic is that one can really be free to speak one's mind without worrying about ''airing dirty laundry'', i.e., the not-so-pleasant side that all neighborhoods have, in public. The majority felt that visitors to the public site who might be potential new Kenwoodians/neighbors might get turned off by hot debates, arguments, negative topics, etc. I personally did not feel that way, but I understand where they are coming from and, the main point is, the vote was taken and then it was taken to the full association and voted on as well. So, in a democratic organization, ya gotta step back after that and come together, ya know? No sour grapes and we can all hang out on the e-list and talk about anything and everything under the sun--whether it is a very positive subject, or a tough subject, and whether we are all in agreement, or whether there is passionate argument. So, no worries, mates!
Sorry.....

It does worry me as I have stated before. If e-list is better, go there.

Bill...

It's not that the e-list is ''better''. I personally prefer this type (the neighborhood link type) of message board. But I did want to point out to Amy and others that it isn't that anyone or any ''powers that be'' unilaterally decided to do away with this forum--it was voted on at a general association meeting of the membership. I just thought that fact should be stated, in fairness.
Really?

Oh yea, thats right. I almost forgot about the vote. Then I reread my initial post and lo and behold it's right there.
