I would add to have a large community dumpster (or two) placed strategically so that people have somewhere to put their garbage. As a first time participant, my garbage (and neighbors) were filled and didn't look so great on display. Secondly, the brochures should be distributed early to those opening their homes, so they know which number they are on tour and can help lost people get on track.
Also, if there were to be alot more traffic, I recommend that each home have at least two people stationed inside to watch the premises and offer helpful information or answer questions.
