HHA Board Meeting Minutes for Sept. 18th, 2006
Members present: Rosanna Patrona-Aurand, David Hatch, Tom Leonard, Brenda Simpson
Not present: Charles Tappan, Christy Pond
Architectural Committee: Plans for a remodeled deck and exterior paint at 8622 S. Ault Lane were approved.
Maintenance Committee: Charles attended an Open Space Advisory Committee meeting on Sept. 7th to discuss the 3.49 acre parcel at Spring Gulch and Wagon Wheel located in Golden Meadows which is owned by the County. Even though this land is not in the Homestead, we have held our Annual Picnic there and several families enjoy the use of the ball field and the equestrian arena. The County is reviewing its assets to determine if services are efficiently balanced with distribution of its resources. The question is whether the County should sell this property with proceeds benefitting the General Fund. Open Space, too, is evaluating potential efficiencies in management and maintenance.
Charles?’ summary is that Jeffco has no apparent agenda but wants to ?“unload?” this land because it doesn?’t fit their charter of quality standards. It was left that the Council would consider the ideas discussed at the meeting, speak with the Commissioners then get back to the community with some integrated alternatives.
We will keep you posted on any further developments. In the meantime, if you would like your opinion to be heard, contact Jefferson County Open Space at 700 Jefferson County Parkway, Suite 100 in Golden, 80401.
Treasurer?’s Report: A copy of the report is attached to the minutes.
Social Committee: For those who were able to attend the Annual Picnic combined with Golden Meadows, they had a fun time with good weather and great food. Thanks to the Lopez family for offering their pavilion. Thanks to Hog Heaven for the awesome catered BBQ and Bank of the West for picking up the tab. We are lucky and grateful to live in such a generous community!
The Annual Car Show has been changed to every other year so will not take place in 2006.
New Business: Some homeowners near and on Creek Trail received a notice about platting the property in the Addition Filing 2 into nine lots for single family homes. Five homes already exist. The notice was sent in order to allow public participation in the review process. The HHA Board is not sure how this will affect the Homestead, if at all. According to the 2003 Directory, the homeowners in the Addition are not part of the HHA. We have not found an answer as to why this is other than the fact that some land has not been platted as of yet. The Case # is: 06- 103438PF and the Case Manager is Sean Madden (303-271-8719). The property will be posted with a sign indicating the date, time and location should a formal hearing date be established.
I have updated the website as much as I can for now. I will get the most current Covenants and Bylaws on it so they are available to you more readily and conveniently.
The next HHA meeting is yet to be determined. I will post it on the website once it is scheduled.
