April 2008 Homestead Homeowners Association Meeting

The minutes from the 2008 HHA March annual meeting were approved.

Tom Leonard, outgoing treasurer, expressed his concern that there seem to be fewer Homestead residents willing to volunteer to serve on the HHA board. Currently, the positions of secretary and maintenance/water have been unfilled for over a year. Dave P. said that the HHA is currently set to remain in place until 2020. If any homeowners would like to serve on the board, please contact one of the members listed above. Without the HHA board in place, covenants would no longer be enforced.

Tom L. gave incoming treasurer Merida Blackwell the necessary paperwork and details to take over his position. Tom and his family will shortly be relocating to the Denver area, and a farewell reception was hosted by the Ponds during the meeting.

There was a discussion about the map which was inserted in the new phone directory. It did not cover the entire Homestead area, as in the past; a note will be made to correct this for future telephone directories.

As of the end of April, only 9 families had not yet paid their dues for 2008. There was 100% compliance for 2007. Thanks, Tom, for your excellent work!

Rosanna will try to get updated information on the HHA Vanguard account.

There was a discussion about gathering email addresses from homeowners who wish to receive the HHA minutes by email. No decision was made at this time.
