Homestead HOA (Jeffco)

June 19, 2005

Jun 30, 2005

The April 10, 2005 minutes were approved as corrected.

Architectural Committee: No reports.

Maintenance Committee: 1)Sean Riley is working on designing and gathering materials for the folding sandwish board to be placed at the entrance to the Homestead by the pump house. The Board has agree to $100 max. for the sign. It will be used by the Board to advertise meetings and social events. 2)Several issues came up while debating the need or not to have our water tested again. After some research, Sean learned that water testing laboratories do not have a routine battery of tests. Your have to request what specifically you want tested, ie; metals, bacteria, etc. Also, individual homeowner's water samples may vary depending on several factors such as when the house was built and what type of metal was used for plumbing and sodering, time of year the sample was taken, and if there's a water filtering system in the home. Norm Lewis has already supplied each homeowner with water testing results and he is available to help individual homeowners get a sample of their water tested along with his if there are questions or concerns. The Board will discuss the issue in more detail at the next meeting once we have more information. We do welcome ideas, information and concerns.

Treasurer's Report: Tom Leonard received a copy of the first quarter report from S.T. Womack. A copy is available upon request. Several homeowners have still not paid their 2005 annual dues. They have received a late notice. As a reminder, a lien can be put on a house for not paying HHA dues.

Social Committee: Reta Trout is eagerly working on the new HHA Directory. She has put forth much time and effort to get us all caught up again. Thanks to all who have returned your information to her in a timely manner.
We hope many of you were able to share in the fun and fellowship of the the annual picnic. Thanks again to BANK OF THE WEST and HOG HEAVEN BBQ for their generous contributions in helping to make this picnic such a fun success!

Old Business: None

New Business: Threatening and offensive messages on the chalk board will not be tolerated. This is disruptive to our community and our feeling of well-being. There are alternative methods to handle complaints. Please contact the HHA BOD if you need assistance in dealing with frustrating matters. We are here to help provide a peaceful community.

Meeting Adjourned. The next HHA meeting will be August 7th at 7pm at Brenda Simpson's house.
