Anonymous,

Thanks for your input and getting involved. I don't think there is anything more important than the safety of our children. I also share your concern of people trespassing on your property and leaving trash around the pond area. I will personally see to it that these issues are placed on the agenda for the next board meeting and we will come up with a plan to solve these problems. Thank you so much for bringing these matters to my attention. I can assure you that the board of directors will do everything we can to make sure that these issues are resolved. We will also make sure to address this in the next neighborhood newsletter that we send out in the spring. In the mean time if you have any suggestions for solving these problems or any additional concerns you would like to discuss, you can feel free to contact me or any other board member. I would be happy to listen to any suggestions you might have. We hope to see you at the Crime Watch meeting on March 6th.

Thanks again,

fishing reply & other questions

First, I agree that people should not be walking on or through other people's property to fish in the ponds. That is clear. However, what about fishing in the ponds where there is common area? A sign is clearly posted, but people fish every single day in the summer. If most people in the neighborhood think that it is ok to fish in the ponds - shouldn't those signs be removed? Is it even an option to vote to allow fishing from common areas?
Second question/ comment: Is there a way to find out the boundaries of my property without having to pay? I'm the third owner of my house and the original boundary lines were not conveyed to me.
Finally, I think this website is a great idea and I have no complaints about the neighborhood. Keep up the good job!

We have to keep the signs posted for insurance reasons. If anyone were to get hurt or drown, it would limit our liability. The rule is not enforced typically though.
As far as getting your boundary lines, in order to get an accurate detail, you would need to get a staked survey or you could request a boundary survey which typically costs a little less.
Hope that helps!

What is Important

Of greatest importance to me is the incidence of crime in our neighborhood. I applaud the BOD for investigating the need for a neighborhood crime watch. It will take the diligence of all in the neighborhood to decrease the crime that I think has escalated since the summer months. Another area of importance is the maintenance of all of our homes. As I walk, especially after Wednesday trash pick-up, I am disturbed by the amount of trash that is littering the neighborhood. Although ''it is someone else's job to collect the trash'', it should be the responsibility of each homeowner to ensure that the trash ''scraps'' are disposed. With the number of homes for sale in our neighborhood, I wonder how many potential neighbors are ''turned away'' because of the amount of trash that litters our neighborhood.
