Who We Are

We are residents of the Indianola Hills Neighborhood who have oranized for the betterment of our community.

Mission Statement

Indianola Hills Neighbors is committed to respecting diversity and maintaining quality of life and pride in our neighborhood by coming together to create positive change.

Goals of Indianola Hills Neighbors

1. To get people together to create a sense of community in our neighborhood.

2. To make our streets safer by slowing down speeding traffic, getting dangerous intersections controlled, and ending illegal parking.

3. To insure that property is maintained inside our neighborhood.

4. To see that our neighborhood is a place free of crime, where all people feel safe. This will include ridding our neighborhood of drugs and vandalism.

5. To hold public and private institutions accountable when they threaten the quality of life in our neighborhood by either their action or inaction.

6. To see that our neighborhood receives its fair share of attention and resources from the city of Des Moines.

7. To be active in promoting the health, safety, general welfare, and quality of life of the residents of the Indianola Hills Neighborhood.
