About The Neighborhood

Gadsden Park, with its walking trails, baseball fields, playgrounds, dog park, fishing lake, and picnic areas, is located in the heart of the neighborhood. There are approximately 650 homes in the area, a wide variety of businesses within walking distance.

The majority of the homes in the Interbay area were built during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The many renovation projects and new construction throughout the neighborhood lend a sense of vitality and renewal. The population of the neighborhood is a fabulous blend of young families, single professionals, and original owners who raised their children here and have many tales to tell.

Beyond the delightful charm of the area, the Interbay neighborhood's location makes it one of the most desirable of South Tampa's
neighborhoods. We have close proximity to beaches, Hyde Park, SOHO, Westshore, Channelside, Ybor, the downtown area, Hillsborough Community College, USF, and the University of Tampa. as well as easy access to the main thoroughfares of our beautiful city.

All neighborhood homeowners are invited to join us at our Association Meetings. Monthly meetings will be posted in our newsletter. We encourage you to attend these meetings so that as a neighborhood we can address ideas and concerns. All members and potential members may attend. If you have an idea or concern we encourage you to contact a board member immediately rather than wait for a meeting. Check Membership Info for updates and calender of events.

What We Do

Our mission is to give a sense of community, a kind of "welcome wagon," to our neighbors. We are also in touch with our City Council, Parks & Recreation Department, Planning & Zoning Board, and presidents of other neighborhood associations. Through these meetings, Interbay Neighborhood Association helps you keep in touch with what is going on in the city and other neighborhoods and brings out issues that may affect the Interbay area. We also try to assure the safety of our community and ensure community beautification.

The Interbay Neighborhood Association includes residents, property owners and businesses in the area of South Tampa bounded by Interbay Boulevard on the north, MacDill Air Force Base on the south, MacDill Avenue on the east and Dale Mabry Highway on the west. INA was the
first neighborhood association established in June 2006 south of Interbay Boulevard.
