I don't think you know what the definition of validity is, or you wouldn't say that.

Contrary to what you say, my comments have generated quite a bit of discussion.

If you say nothing is going to change, you must have a reason to believe that.  Are you responsible for the flawed agenda of our HOA?

nothing is going to change meaning nothing is going to change with how we manage this street and the cars that drive down it...not the HOA as a whole

i dont even know how to respond to your first statement so i wont..

I think there is a big misunderstanding between MDG80 and Luke.

MDG80 is complaining about Old Oak Way and we live on Old Olive Way.  That being said we have a huge problem on Old Olive way with people who are driving 30 mph down our street with children everywhere.  If you are going to drive 10mph over the speed limit (which by the way was voted on by the homeowners) people are going to stare at you!  If stopping your car is the only way to slow you down then be prepared to stop and explain why you are speeding in a family oriented neighborhood.  We have asked for something to slow traffic down, whether it be stop signs or speed bumps but have gotten nowhere.  If anyone else has suggestions please speak up.

What I would like to see is everyone who has opinions about how the board is being run to attend their next Board Meeting.  Posting things on this forum is meant to be constructive.  So far I have not seen much praise for anything.  I see a bunch of people mad at someone (MDG80 you know who you are) who will never help the board with any of the tasks they have mentioned.  I served on the board for 2 years (I am not on the board now) and you have no idea how hard it is to make everyone happy.  You would think living in our neighborhood people would have the communities best interest when suggesting things.  This is not the case!  Everyone wants something different and cannot agree on anything.  This is why nothing gets done.  I challenge anyone who repeatedly posts their opinion on this website to go to the next board meeting with me.  I will be happy to take time out of my schedule to help is anyone else willing?

I think people really care about this neighborhood, but posting criticisms is not the way to get things done.  All it does is make everyone angry (which is why every thread you have MDG80 has replies that are defensive).  You sound demeaning and condesending which is an observation I have made reading your posts for the last month or so.  If you have such great ideas I will vote for you to be president of the HOA in January.  Or are you one of the people who always goes to the meetings and complains about everything, but when asked to help your hand always stays down? The board is a thankless job and you have no idea how hard those people work.  Their email addresses are on this site, go ahead and email them and ask what they have been working on.

As for the neighborhoods with more equipment than ours for less home value.  You probably don't know that when they were built the developers put the parks, pools, ponds, walking trails, fitness centers, etc in.  These things cost alot of money, unfortunately our developers were cheap and didn't do any of this.  Therefore if you want a fitness center, pool, basketball court, bricked exterior, or anything else you are probably going to have to pay for it.  If it costs $3000 for a pool who is willing to write that check tomorrow?  I certainly would.  But do you really think you will get everyone to agree to spend their own money?  I highly doubt that considering so many people don't even pay their dues.
