The community is bounded by Greenbelt National Park to the west, Interstate 95 to the north and east, and Good Luck Road to the south.
The Kingswood Civic Association was established in 1963. After a period of relative inactivity in the mid-1990s, it underwent a major revitalization in 1997.
The community is a residential area with approximately 715 single-family homes and a neighborhood park. The community is bounded by Trexler Road and Nashville Roads to the west, Nashville Road and Newberg Drive to the north, Cathedral Avenue to the east, and Good Luck Road to the south.
The objectives of the association are to enhance the safety, welfare, and integrity of the neighborhood. These objectives are accomplished by (1) bringing pertinent neighborhood concerns to the attention of the membership and providing the means through which community action may be taken, and (2) promoting sociability, fellowship and a means of communication among the residents. All residents of the community are encouraged to become members of the Association and to participate in association activities.
