CRIME REPORT; 12-06-10

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 11:03 A.M. on Saturday morning, Officer Montgomery was dispatched to an accident in the 1800 block of North Clack.  While investigating the accident, Officer Montgomery contacted a 25 year old male who admitted to being the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.  This subject had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.  The field sobriety tests were performed and the subject failed.  He did admit to taking medicine that made him drowsy.  He was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

 

At about 7:50 P.M. last night, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of North 18th for failing to signal a turn.  Upon contacting the driver, a 49 year old male, it was found he had prior contacts for narcotics.  A K-9 was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle.  After further investigation, it was found that the subject was in possession of a useable amount of marijuana.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally, at about 2:07 A.M. this morning, Officer Poynor received a call of a possible burglary in progress in the 200 block of Mulberry.  Upon arrival he contacted a 27 year old female who was the passenger in a vehicle. This female was highly intoxicated and lived out of town.  The driver of the vehicle was arrested for outstanding warrants and this female was arrested for Public Intoxication.

CRIME REPORT; 12-07-10

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 1:15 A.M. yesterday morning, Officer Davis responded to a call in the 1900 block of Butternut.  Upon arrival he located a 40 year old male passed out in the parking lot of a local business.  After waking the subject up, it was found that he was very intoxicated.  He was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.  He was also found to have a warrant out for his arrest from another county.  He was then transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 7:30 P.M. last night, Sgt. Robinson stopped a vehicle in the 1400 block of Palm for failing to signal a turn.  The driver of this vehicle, a 31 year old male, was found to have a suspended driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While License Invalid. 

 

Finally, at about 2:00 A.M. this morning, Officer Poynor responded to a call in the 800 block of North Judge Ely.  Upon arrival he located a 22 year old male passed out in his vehicle with it still running.  The male subject had a to go platter of food in his lap and had apparently passed out while eating his food.  He was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.

CRIME REPORT; 12-08-10

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 9:25 A.M. yesterday morning, Officer Carroll responded to a call of a disturbance in progress in the 4000 block of Lynwood.  Upon arrival he observed a 18 year old male yelling at other subjects and using offensive language.  This subject was also trying to start a fight with these other individuals.  He was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and was transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 1:40 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Carroll and several other officers were dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress at a local park.  A citizen had observed an 18 year old male break the window in a vehicle and take property from this vehicle.  The male subject was located hiding in a trash can at the park.  He was taken into custody and charged with the Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.  It was also found that he had a Theft Warrant for his arrest from another county.  He was transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Please remember to place your valuables out of sight or take them with you.  This is the holiday season and criminals will also be doing their type of Christmas Shopping.

CRIME REPORT; 12-09-10

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 7:40 P.M. last night, Officer Dixon stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of South 17th for not having a front license plate visible.  After contacting the driver, a 27 year old male, it was found that he did not have a drivers license and his Texas ID card was suspended.  He was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 9:00 P.M. last night, Officer Bryant stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of South Willis for making a wide right turn.  Upon contacting the driver, a 24 year old male, it was found that his driver’s license was suspended.  He was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid.

 

Finally at about 11:55 P.M. last night, Officer Brown stopped a vehicle traveling East bound on I-20.  This vehicle was stopped for speeding, traveling 76 mph in a 65 mph zone.  While contacting the driver, a 34 year old female, Officer Brown detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and the driver had blood shoot eyes.  She performed the field sobriety tests and failed.  She was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Taylor County Jail.
