Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…
At about 5:30 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Hambright responded to a call of a disturbance in the 800 block of Vine. Upon arrival he learned that a 39 year old female had been dropped off at the calling party’s home and they did not know this female. The female was highly intoxicated and could barely stand on her own. She was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.
At about 7:50 P.M. last night, Officer Dixon stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Sayles for running a red light. After contacting the driver, a 25 year old female, it was found that her driver’s license was suspended. She was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid and transported to the Taylor County Jail.
Finally, at about 9:40 P.M. last night, Officer Dixon responded to an accident where the suspect vehicle had fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was located in the 3100 block of South 23rd. The driver of this vehicle, a 25 year old male, was identified by witnesses and contacted by Officer Dixon. Upon contacting the driver he was found to be intoxicated. He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed. A breath test was provided and the subject was over the legal limit. He was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
