CRIME REPORT; 7-1-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at about 3:00 pm Officer ralph Garcia was dispatched to a hit and run accident in the 2100 blk of Glenhaven.  Witnesses reported that one of the drivers appeared intoxicated and  had left the scene prior to Officer Garcia’s arrival.  Abilene Fire Department located this man a short distance away.  He was placed under arrest for DWI with an Accident. 

 

This morning at about 12:20 am Sgt Eris Katona stopped a car in the 1400 blk of s 8th for driving without headlights.  The driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.170 and 0.167.  The legal limit being 0.08.  This male subject was charged with DWI 3rd Offense with an Open Container.

CRIME REPORT; 7-5-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Last night at about 11:25 Officer Damien Hutchinson stopped a car in the 1900 blk of N 17th for failure to signal a turn.  The male driver appeared intoxicated and was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He failed the tests and was arrested for DWI.  He was transported to Taylor County Jail where he refused a breath test.  He is charged with DWI with open container 3rd offense. 

 

At 5:10 this morning Sgt Jason Haak stopped a car for swerving in the 2900 blk of N 10th.  The driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the taylor County Jail where he provided a breath sample. The results were 0.114 and 0.119.  The legal limit being 0.08.  He was charged with DWI. 

 

There was a passenger in the car who was contacted also and during a search of the car a pistol was located under his seat.  This male claimed the pistol was his.  He was arrested for Unlawful Carrying a Weapon and an outstanding traffic warrant.

CRIME REPORT; 7-6-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at about 5:50 pm Detective Erin Bennett contacted a male suspect at the Adult Probation Office.  This subject is a registered sex offender.  This male subject admitted to having inappropriate contact with a 9 year old victim.  He was placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a 1st Degree Felony. 

 

This morning at about 12:20 am Officer Jody Peavy was dispatched to the 300 blk of N Mockingbird to a family disturbance.  A male subject there was seen by witnesses to push his wise into a wall several times causing her to hit her head.  This man was arrested for Assault Family Violence.

 

And  finally at about 3:05 this morning Sgt Jason Haak contacted a man stumbling down the road in the 3100 blk of Southwest Dr.  The man appeared intoxicated and surrendered an amount of marijuana when contacted by Sgt Haak.  The man was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 4:40 yesterday afternoon Officer Brandon Scott was dispatched to a theft call at a north side business.  Loss prevention at the business had detained a female subject for shoplifting.  This female subject was placed under arrest and charged with misdemeanor theft.

 

At about 8:50 last night Officer Damien Hutchinson was dispatched to a family disturbance in the 3400 blk of Vogel.  A female victim there reported that she had been struck in the face and had her hair pulled.  She had visible injuries.  A male suspect was placed under arrest for Class A Assault Family Violence. 

 

And finally at about 1:15 this morning officer Damien Hutchinson responded to a citizen calling in a drunk driver.  This citizen was following this vehicle.  Officer Hutchinson stopped the vehicle in the 1800 blk of Vogel.  This male subject appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.179 and 0.169.  The legal limit being 0.08.  He was charged with DWI.
