L.A.C. is a community based non-for-profit organization founded to address the need for services in the large immigrant communities of Elmhurst, Corona and Jackson Heights. We provide information and referral assistance for youth and seniors. We asisit homeowners in correcting problems such as incorrect water bills and amending incorrect property units listing. We provide assitance in filling out entiltement benefits and housing application forms.

WE Make referrals to various agencies to address city, state and federal issues. We sponsor community events such as health fairs, Drug Prevention awareness events that help foster a better quality of life to our neighbors. We encourage community participation to disseminate information.

'' Each One Teach One''

Currently we serve as the fiscal conduit for four community groups that provide homework help in an after school enviroment, sponsor five little league teams and a Naval Military Youth Cadets program which instill self respect, discipline, and team work.They meet every saturday at P.S. 19 Beacon school on 98 Street and 41st Ave. Contact is Commander Alirio Orduna. We assist new groups in learning how to file for incorporation, setting up by-laws and filing federal tax exempt status.
