Our Mission
Learning to Succeed, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization which conducts a variety of tutoring and mentoring programs in New York City. The mission of Learning to Succeed, Inc. is to provide opportunities for New York City public school students to experience success, self-respect and responsibility by tutoring others or by being tutored in a nurturing environment with ongoing individualized training and support. The target groups are academically underprepared adolescents and young children of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. The participants are from the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. In addition to the tutorial and mentoring programs, Learning to Succeed, Inc. has developed an arts and literacy enrichment program for immigrant and minority parents. Program activities also link schools with New York City Court volunteers and businesses in a sense of shared community responsibility.
