Liberia Cultural Association (LCA), is a nonprofit
organization that is dedicated to providing
oppurtunities to low income families including the following:
- Adult Literacy
- GED Program/ High School Equivalent
- Computer Literacy
- Immigrant Assistance
- Health Literacy/ Outreach
- ESL
- SYEP
We are dedicated to providing afterschool/ academic enrichment for school age children and/or youth but not limited to, the West African immigrant population residing in the Parkhill/Stapleton community of Staten Island, New York. For the past five years, the LCA has worked to empower targeted children and their families with a series of programs, thus focusing on leadership skills, homework help, tutoring, and computer literacy. LCA also provides free healthy food and snacks along with nutrional education to children and youth participating in it's after school/enrichment program. Using adult role models in key positions, LCA has established a safe and supportive environment for structured activities that positively engage children and/or youth to become academically informed, healthy, caring and responsible individuals.
