Another thought would be to use the area down behind Perwinkle (between Pewinkle and Bardstown Road) as a softball diamond. This would be very low cost (basically grading and a tall chainlink fence behind home plate), could be used by all ages, and would make productive use of what is otherwise wasted space. I would love to have a couple of adult neighborhood teams for the adults to get to know each other. Small children could use it for kickball and all other young'uns could have their own pick-up ball games.

The table and grill sound great but what I really want is access to the ice machine so I can keep my Bud-Light as cold as possible. We all know how on those long hot pool days, the ice melts and someone has to run up to Two-Lane to restock the ice. (Some of the problem drinkers have to restock their beer also). It's a terrible thing to let a Bud-Light get hot. What a waste. I am for moving the ice machine downstairs to the neighborhood's little playroom. Let the rental people drink hot beer. We deserve cold ones. Do I hear a Hear! Hear! Chill Don, I am just joking, maybe!

Just give Don a cold one and he'll be OK. |

I know this is not a recent post but I am just getting around to reading about a public playground. I think it's a great idea. I know there are several kids in the neighborhood and several stay-at-home moms (like myself) who like to get outside with their kid(s)when it's nice out. The neighborhood "kid" population will only continue to grow as the subdivision develops (between November and February there were at least 8 babies born in LSF!) and people establish their families.
