Please disregard previous post on this subject. I am having problems with my webpage editor. Let's try again. From the input we received it appears that Waste Management is the choice of most residents. They also offer the more services. As I walked the neighborhood last Saturday, it was apparent that majority residents are already using Waste Management. If you already have Waste Management you will not have to do anything but pay less for the service. The billing change will start the next billing cycle. There is no retroactive billing or credit. For residents who must change service you will be receiving a notice from Waste Management on what is required. We need 85% participation in order for the neighborhood to receive this reduced cost. Remember there is also the added benefit of having only one collection day per week. Less trash cans on the street and less trucks destroying the streets. It will also be safer for the children in the neighborhood. 1. The monthly cost per household will be $12.92 per month or $38.76 per quarter. I know we are paying $68.00 per quarter for Industrial Disposal's service so this should be a saving to all. 2. Waste Management offers recycling for $3.50 per month for those who choose it. 3. Yard waste collection is $3.50 per month for those who choose it. 4. Waste Management will take anything that is put curbside For complete bid offer, please see Waste Management Bid in this Discussion Forum. If anyone has any questions please call me @231-4779 after 6:00pm or email @ cyalan@insightbb.com Thank You Alan Barker
Karen and I have been using waste management since we moved to this neighborhood in mid-2005.  We've been very pleased with their service.  They've always picked up anything we put out by the curb, and when they missed us one week they came back and picked up our trash within a matter of hours.  As you stated, Alan, they also offer more services than the other companies.  They have our full support.

I agree with Jeff. Waste Management is a good choice.

Thanks for your effort in pulling this together.

Alan, when will we know if this is a go and what can we do to help make it happen?  Hand out flyers?  It doesn't look like enough people are using the blog to spread the word.
