A New LDDI Tradition:

THE LIGHTING OF UNION SQUARE

'Tis (almost) the season. On Wednesday, December 1 at 6pm,
there will be bright lights, fireworks, quick speeches, cold
feet and, if we're lucky, just a little bit of snow.

For the second year, The Lighting of Union Station
symbolizes more than the beginning of the holiday season-it
marks the making of a bigger and better event that's become
an LDDI tradition.

"This year we're expecting 2,500 people to attend the
lighting of Union Station," says Dan du Bois, Executive
Director of LDDI. "It's a great way for LDDI to have a real
visible presence in LoDo and perhaps bring newcomers to this
historical site."

The Union Station will stay "lit" through January 2 and
commemorative ornaments will be sold for $50 to help support
