Day 7 as Membership Director
Lots to do! There are tons of people to meet and things to
learn and meetings to attend. We have some great events
coming up! Also need to write column for LoDown. . .Have NO
idea what I'm going to write about!
Dan seems like a great guy. He's a smart, caring, involved
leader and feels very deeply about the well-being of LoDo.
He's the perfect person for the job and Kathy is a top-notch
assistant. She's been busy this week taking ticket orders
for the Food and Wine Experience. She certainly works hard.
. .especially being the mother of two squirrels!
I'm learning a lot about LDDI and its membership. From what
I've seen, I'm dealing with a fun group of highly talented
and extremely dedicated people who are refreshingly
passionate about their neighborhood, its growth,
preservation and other pertinent issues. It seems to me
that everyone would want to belong to an organization that
works as hard for them as LDDI does-if only they knew
everything we do. I obviously have my work cut out for me!
Some ideas to develop for the near future are:
* Getting word out about LDDI to newcomers in the district
and seeing to it that they get involved.
* Reminding current members about the value of their
membership and the many ways they can be involved, too!
* Getting a winning membership drive off the ground in
Spring, 2000!
* Keeping LDDI on the leading edge of LoDo issues. . .and
keeping our members informed.
If all of us work together, we can grow this thing! I know
we can! Let's build something we can all be proud of in the
new millennium!
