Meetings, Playgrounds and More?…?….

Annual Meeting This Month; Members and Visitors Welcome
There will be cocktails, speeches, a short meeting and a quick vote. At the annual meeting of the St. Charles Neighborhood Group, February 2, 6 p.m. at the Oxford Hotel Ballroom, board members will be elected and two community leaders will speak about issues impacting our neighborhood.

LoDo resident, developer and Lower Downtown Design Review Committee member Charles Callaway will present "What's Next? LoDo and Beyond," an update on development projects currently underway and planned for LoDo.

Also presenting is David Thomson, president of East/West Partners, who will offer a comprehensive description of development plans for the Central Platte Valley.

Visitors are welcome and members encouraged to attend. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar before the meeting!

Impacting Bars in LoDo
The Good Neighbor Committee has been meeting with new bar and restaurant operators and liquor licensees to discuss expectations for co-existence in our mixed-use neighborhood.

Meetings have been held with three new license applicants and all have agreed to operate according to the St. Charles Neighborhood Group's Good Neighbor policy for liquor license holders. This policy address the business' need to control noise, rowdy behavior, trash and other possible impacts of their operations.

More information about liquor license operations and impact of this committee will also be presented at the Annual Meeting.

Playground Plans Move Forward
Enough funding and support was secured to bring expert playground designers out from California last month.

These designers will be responsible for working with us to develop plans for the playground an for creating the schematic design. They will return for additional consultations before submitting further plans. Watch for announcements of a public meeting with them.

To proceed with detailed designs and construction, additional finds are still needed.
