The LDDInform Forum:
New Program Brings Issues Up Front

A primary reason our members renew their commitment to LDDI each year is to utilize the informational benefits we offer. Keeping our members informed about LoDo issues helps foster a sense of community and belonging. It's a critical part of LDDI's mission. To help us accomplish this part of our mission, we send you the monthly newsletter you're holding now, LoDown. It is the most strategic tool LDDI has for keeping you informed and connected, and we're proud of the job we're doing with it! LDDI's newsletter committee and editor Laurie Rachkus Uttich are constantly looking for ways to make LoDown the best it can be!

But one of my ongoing priorities is to increase the value of your membership each year. To help in this endeavor, I'm creating another strategic, informal tool to complement our newsletter. It's a quarterly forum for LDDI members focusing on issues and information it's called LDDInform Forum. The first LDDInform Forum took place in January at the Tattered Cover Bookstore with Joel Harris as our guest. Mr. Harris is a public policy analyst for Governor Owens and he shared an outline of the governor's Colorado Growth Initiative. He pointed out three aspects of the plan which have the potential for affecting development in the downtown community.

We're excited about the potential of this new program! In fact, the next LDDInform Forum is already being planned. The format will be a panel discussion with sufficient opportunity for member input and interaction. Subject to be announced in the next LoDown. If you have any questions or comments about this or any other aspect of LDDI membership, I'd like to hear from you. I can be reached at (303) 628-5482.
