More habits of Highly Effective People?…and "Rich"

It was written in black marker and it read, "Rich was here in '80."

Standing inside that expansive warehouse space on Wynkoop with brick walls bearing old white wash and this one, noticeable piece of graffiti, I had to admire Rich. Not because I like graffiti, but because I admire his foresight.

I may never know what circumstances brought Rich to stand in that same spot two decades ago. But I do know this: no matter how haphazard or insignificant that handwritten sentence on the wall may seem, one thing is clear: Rich left his mark on LoDo. And to prove it, here I am, ten years later, writing about it.

None of us know what LoDo will look like twenty years from now. The possibilities are exciting! My question to you is: How will you leave your mark on LoDo? Will anyone be writing about your contribution in generations to come? There is no better time than a new millennium to contemplate your legacy.

LDDI exists to provide its members with significant opportunities for involvement in LoDo and the opportunities are many and varied! It is up to you to capitalize on those opportunities and make an impact on this growing community. Remember?…highly effective people are not spectators!

How can you be more involved? First, you need to be a member! If you haven't yet discovered this value, then call me.

In addition, we have involvement opportunities on many of our committees where your voice can make a difference.

We're currently seeking volunteers for one-time commitments as well as ongoing projects. We need people who are good with administrative tasks as well as follow-up and fundraising. And we're always open to new ideas if you have a brainstorm you'd like to discuss. Or perhaps you can provide other resources like project management skills or marketing know-how.
