New Leadership
The Lumberman III Neighbor
hood Association has
reorganized under new
Leadership. Please come out and meet your newly elected officers for 2006.With the help of some former L3NA member?’s we are making a fresh start. But we need your involvement and input. Now that we are reorganizing our association, we also need to reorganize our committees, and some get some new ones started. We still need block captains, welcoming committee, and a fundraising committee if we are to keep things rolling. Your support through paid membership?’s, recruiting your neighbors into the L3NA, attendance at the General membership meetings and personal action as volunteers will keep us rolling. Our goal is to take back our neighborhood. Make L3 a community we feel proud of again.
Neighborhood News
The Oklahoma City Police were called to a vacant home in the 4600 block of S.Fairmont the week of Sept 4th around 12:30pm by an alert neighbor to a theft in progress. A family with a baby in the car backed into the driveway in an attempt to steal the AC unit from the backyard. The thieves where caught and arrested. The theft of central ac units stem from the high value of copper (which is at an all time high) that is often found in air conditioner coils. Besides the recent rash of air conditioner parts thefts, telephone companies have been repeatedly plagued by copper wire thefts. Thieves target empty houses and buildings. Please beware of suspicious activity at vacant houses on your block. To check out crime stats in your neighborhood.
