And, one question:  why are all of the other residents so quiet about this?  Is this so much of the same old lack of accountability that has become characteristic of our governments that they remain quiet thinking that nothing can be done?  Are people scared to speak up?  Actually that was three questions - just thought I had better say that before I got a bickering reply from the ayor.

I think most residents just don't know.  If they are not "informed" via mailing, or website, then they don't know what the Budget is, or how their money is being spent.  Those of us that DO use the website, are only asking for it to be posted.  Why hasn't the 2011-2012 proposed budget been mailed to all residents so that everyone can clearly see, and attend a meeting to discuss concerns; BEFORE it's voted and passed.

This isn't a BIG city, but the resident's still have a right to know.

Reba, as I talk to peole about what goes on in Bellemeade, I am finding that it has always been that way.  The place has been run by a small group since day 1.  They are not in the habit of being questioned so they don't know how to respond.  "Post a proposed budget?  Absurd!  Why in the world would anyone want to see a proposed budget?  They wouldn't understand it..  We don't post anything until it is a done deal.  That way we run the whole show.  Snicker"

Next point:  have you noticed the absence of posts supporting Larry?

Last point:  those shrubs at the Bellemeade Road entrance were placed there from funds in a previous budget.  Many of them are dead and nasty looking.  Maybe they'ree slipping in aittle more money for beautification and don't want us to know it until it is a done deal,
