Lynnhurst United Church of Christ

Small enough to know you.....

Large enough to serve you. These are the words that has made Lynnhurst a serving church in the south end of Louisville for 150 years.This year we are celebrating this milestone with a special service or happening ever month. Won't you join us some Sunday for worship and to help us celebrate our 150th anniversary? Worship service times are Early service at 8:15 A.M., regular worship service at 10:30 A.M. With Church School starting at 9:15 A.M.

A Faith Journey

After careful examination and polling the congregation, it was determined that there were many changes and additions that must be done to keep the integrity of our church home. Lynnhurst launched ''A Faith Journey'', a program to repair and update time worn areas of the church structure, and also to update and add many needed conveniences. This program ( a three year endeavor) has been very successful. Over $400,000 has been pledged and many of the projects are already underway. Included in the program was a beneveolent giving of ten percent of total pledges to community charities.

Our Pastor

Pastor Bob Kittendorf has been Pastor for six years and has provided leadership and spiritual guidance to over 400 members of Lynnhurst. His visitation to the sick and shut-ins carries God's Word to those who are no longer able to attend worship services. His Sunday message and intrepretation of the Holy Word fills the worship service with God's spirit.
