The Marcos de Niza public housing community consists of 374 households and with our extended single-family homes community, 3000 households, that consist of primarily minority families with limited resources. Many of our families are at or below the established local and national poverty levels.
Marcos de Niza es una comunidad de casas publicas que consiste de 374 habitades y inculendo nuestros vecinos con casas particulars, 3000 habitades, consiste de familias con recursos limitados. Muchas de nuestras familias estan bajo de los limites de recursos provistos por HUD.
The Marcos de Niza Community Block Watch started their fourth Junior Block Watch program. “Beyond the Boundaries” July 1, 2006 with a 4th of July kick off celebration/membership drive. We collaborate with the City of Phoenix Housing Office, Housing Resident Services, Marcos de Niza Senior Center, Marcos de Niza Tenant council, Phoenix Revitalization Corporation, and various communities Block Watch groups. The members of Junior Block Watch program are “Ambassadors” to youth and assist in education and recruitment to meet the goals of the Block Watch.
