Neighborhood City Halls Mission Statement:
To serve as a neighborhood resource center that is a responsive liaison between the community and the City that helps build strong, safe neighborhoods.
The Mayor's Office of Neighborhood City Halls (NCH) functions as an important link between the Mayor's Office and the community. NCH serves as an advocate for residents seeking services from City departments.
NCH distributes information for other City departments as well as special community events, such as town hall meetings, Detroit Motor City Makeover, the Angels' Night Anti-Arson Campaign, and other City-wide activities of interest to the community at large. NCH also assists block clubs and community associations in organizing and planning neighborhood events.
NCH interfaces with businesses and community groups in building strong relationships to promote positive, productive neighborhoods.
Mayor's Office-Neighborhood City Halls in collaboration with other city departments has the opportunity to improve the quality of life for those who live, work, and visit the City of Detroit while linking with the Community, Businesses, Government and Schools. Neighborhood City Halls serves as a resource center providing residents with information about city agencies, polices, services and programs.
Detroit is a great city, rich with wonderful neighborhoods. Maintaining our strong neighborhoods and strengthening others is a priority. In keeping with that commitment, let's all work together to make a difference in the lives of our citizens.
