YellAs a concerned homeowner I would like to report that this home on the corner of Redding Glen and Darwick deserves the worst yard of the century award. This lawn has been un-cut or maintained for approximately 2 months now from my observation. This is an embarrassment to our community and to  other homeowners that we allow this to go on. I was under the impression that homeowners that do not maintain there lawns receive letters and fines, I cannot believe this when this home has been like this for so long. Please do something about this. I do realize that the members of the HOA have allot on their plates and this could have been and oversight, but hopefully this will be resolved soon. I my opinion people with rental properties should be contacted are the members of the HOA should have a contract with a lawn care service for these type of situations and a fine should be assessed.

The Board is very much aware of this and several other lawns that are getting way out of hand. We do however have a chain of events that we have to follow before we can actually have the lawns cut. Fines are already in place on many of these lawns. It is apparent that they are having no affect. Our last recourse of action is that once the grass on any lot gets to be 12 inches or higher it then becomes a city ordinance violation. At that time the lot in violation can be reported and the city will come out and cut and enforce a fine and charge for cutting. The Board is currently trying to come up with a way that would enable us to act quicker so as the appearance of the neighborhood as a whole would not have to suffer for such an extended period of time.

Do back yards count?  Our neighbors on Old Ash Ct are clearly home everyday yet they have yet to do anything about thier lawn (and they are renters).  They did attempt to do something with thier front lawn when they got the weed wacker out at 1AM to cut thier entire front lawn.  All of our neighbors stopped that quick.  However they have yet to touch thier back yard or side yard and it has definately hit your 12 inch mark.  I have even seen two kids go up to thier house and offer to cut thier grass and obviously they said no.  I know there is alot of nieghborhood to cover but maybe being aware of this yard, which you will see when you come down our street, the problem could be fixed faster.

Thank you so much and i look forward to the day when i can look out my front window and see a nice cut yard next door.

Thanks!!!!
