I'll forward it on to my lawyer. Hopefully Pinnacle Mgmt will charge the HOA legal fees for having to respond to letters. With no real set of HOA rules, I will not be bullied into following rules others are not made to follow.
Just an FYI, my boat (and it is my boat being discussed) was at the shop for winterization, and we keep it at a marina in Mooresville. We had a baby in the meantime as well and things are a little busy and haven't had a chance to run it back up to the Marina. Now I just may leave it there in an act of protest. Once I move it, they'll probably change the rules to accomodate someone else.
Phil, you know where I live. Why not ring the doorbell and just inquire about the boat? I would have pleasantly spoken with you about it and probably moved it by now had I known you were this concerned about it.
But don't worry folks, we don't want the neighborhood anymore than it wants us! I look forward to the day we can rid ourselves of this home. We paid $180,000 for 2962 sqft of misery. If I thought for a second someone would pay us our payoff ($162,000), you'd be rid of us for good and we'll do our research a little more this time into things like criminal statistics and resale values. Let me know if you or anyone else is interested in a cheap home and get in some neighbors you want! If I sold my home for our payoff, it would kill resale values in the neighborhood. But that's what folks are being driven to. I notice a lot of homeowners who actually take care of their homes are putting them up for sale? Coincidence? I don't think so... We'll soon be left with nothing but renters who couldn't care less about the house, or worse, a foreclosure. (Nothing against the renters who do upkeep and care about the property, I used to rent myself and we took great care of someone else's home so I know there are some out there!)
How about we get concerned about crime in this neighborhood? Is my boat dirtying up the neighborhood? I'm a lot more concerned about the residents who feel the need to help themselves to the items in cars parked in our driveway. Hope the thief enjoys my ipod! I installed a motion detector light with a digital camera that snaps pictures when someone walks in front of it,so the next time I can at least see who it is and get my ipod back. Hopefully this clubhouse can come along quickly and cure all our crime problems. (Pick up on the sarcasm? Hope so, I was laying it on pretty thick!) We have double digit delinquincy rates on HOA dues in this neighborhood and we're taking folks on a gambling excursion? That doesn't make much sense! How much longer before we can't afford lawn service for the common areas and general upkeep, much less a clubhouse!
