Genoa Township has received an Ohio Public Works Commission Grant for $192,600.00 to resurface Medallion Drive East. Bunch Flower Court will also be resurfaced as part of the yearly Township resurfacing program. In the next few days a road milling machine will take off the top surface of these roads.
The next step in the process will be to chip and seal the milled surface. This process involves spraying the top surface with a layer of tar and then spreading stone on top of the tar. Road rollers will crush the stone into the tar. This surface has to be left uncovered until the top coat of smooth asphalt is applied. The Township is aware that the chip and seal surface will be bumpy, and there may be some stones that come loose before the final asphalt surface is applied. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience. We ask that you drive slowly and cautiously in the work zone until this project is completed. Thank you for your cooperation.
