Beginnings

The Medical Community covers an area that was built in several phases. The western half of the neighborhood, between Phillips and Kelley, was built in the late 1920's by G.A. Nichols and was named "Lincoln Terrace". The majority of the eastern half of the neighborhood was built as "Gaston Heights". The northern parts of the east side were built in many small subdivisions.
