Services Provided by our Organization

MPNA wants to ensure that any resident in the Merrill Park Neighborhood Association that has the dream of buying a home has the necessary information and resources to make that dream come true. Working with public and private entities, MPNA tries to secure owner occupants for homes under rehabilitation because homeowners tend to stay longer and take pride in their neighborhood. MPNA also sponsors neighborhood cleanups and beautification projects. MPNA assist residents in crime prevention and reduction measures through the formation of block watches and clubs,Community Parole Watch, and town hall meeting. MPNA is also involved in youth diversion activities, which provide alternatives to gang involvement and violence. We have annual events such as 4th of July parade and picnic, Mini Olympics, Safe Halloween, and Christmas Party. So get connected our door is always open to old and new comers.

About our association

Our Mission

Merrill Park Neighborhood Association was formed for the purpose of preserving, protecting, and promoting the Merrill Park Neighborhood. MPNA was formed in 1991 in order to address concerns over the increased crime rate in the area, public safety and deteriorating housing conditions caused by slumlords and poor rental properties. The Association is built on the premise that the residents themselves can best identify and report problems to their neighborhood organization. It is the organization that has the ability and resources to act on behalf of the residents. MPNA is dedicated to: Representing area population and taking action quickly and effectively on their behalf. Developing a positive community environment and creating neighborhood pride for residents and businesses. Defining, aiding and maintaining quality of housing and living standards for the neighborhood and addressing public safety concerns through the creation of programs and projects that bring residents and City Officials together to work out solutions.
