With all the money the association pays to keep our common areas and parks in great shape, why can't people keep their kids out of the streets and in these areas? After all the streets were designed for automobile use.

Our Neighborhood streets
One of the reasons we purchased a home in parkwood ranch was because of the family atmosphere. I love to see and hear all of the kids playing and having a good time, whether the Dad down the street is conducting a spirited game of street hockey, or the kids are riding their bikes pretending to be BMX stars. I think alot of adults forget what it was like to be a kid, to ride their bike/scooter like the wind and let their imaginations free. I would like to know, why, when alomost everyone in this neighborhood bought houses here for this exact reason, other residents feel the need to SPEED down these streets like they are living out their NASCAR fantasies. And if you are bothered by all the kids, you obviously were misled when you purchased here. The wrinkle ranch subdivision is down the street. |

children in streets
the answer to your question is quite simple--its whats wrong with our society as a whole. This country has lost its manhood. Small age children run society--not adults--children rule and run the homes--not adults. Adults can't tell children what to do they have to ask them. But God forbid that you hit and injure one of these children, because if you do it will be entirely your fault regardless of where the child is at in the street or what they are doing. And of course we all know that the children who are vandalising our community are from outside Parkwood Ranch. None of the responsible adults within Parwood would allow their children to do these things. I guess the bottom line is you just have to accept the fact that in todays world the average parent does not have enough backbone to stand up to their children. Its evident everywhere you look. |

Kids in Streets
We are not complaining about being able to speed down the streets. We ask only to go the approved 25 MPH without having to stop every 50 feet for someone who is not watching their kids to move them out of the street. Goodie two shoes there are parks for the kids to play in that I pay for and you pay for. And, I will nly move down the street when you move your head out of your ------ Todays kids have no concept of what it was like and those days have gone by the way of ethnic communities. |
