The statements Christine made about the boy scouts and the church say more to me about Christine's fear and hatred of men in general than anything else.

Maybe Christine had a bad experience in the past, maybe she's just paranoid in general. The truth is the vast majority of scout leaders, preists, teachers, counsellers, day-care workers, etc do what they do because the love working with children. It is unfortunate that a small number of pedophiles choose these professions that provide them with unsupervised access to children because it brings into question the motives of all men who devote thier time to children.

Compound this with the fact that there are more and more single parent households and the problem gets even bigger. Boys brought up in a house with no father being taught by their mother that every man who takes an interest in their well being is a potential rapist. Damn, it's a miracle this country can raise any men nowadays.
