Get Ready, Get Set!

As we go to press, we are in the middle of a big snow storm but spring is really coming. It?’s time to prepare for our Garden Party to be held the first Saturday in June, of course. Our committee chairs are already busy planning an exciting party: hiring musicians, investigating unusual vendors and featuring food by Murray Hill restaurants. They are seeking artists who would like to design the poster and T-shirt that are important aspects of the event.

As usual we need you, our neighbors, to participate. Now is the time to plan for that balmy day in June that all NYC knows belongs to Murray Hill. Now is the time for you to decide how you will participate: Bake a cake? Contribute books and bric-a-brac? Sell raffles? (Wo)man the tables? Participate in the set-up/take-down responsibilities? And all the rest it takes to put this very special event together.

Come to the General Meeting on May 10 when we?’ll tell you what?’s involved and ask for your commitment to do your neighbors and neighborhood a good deed. And, we promise that you?’ll have a ball in the process!
