Myers Neighborhood (MN) encompasses the area bounded: on the south, by the north side of Golf Links; on the north, by the south side of 22nd Street; on the east, by the west side of Craycroft; and on the west, by the east side of Swan. The residents of Myers Neighborhood are represented at the county level by Supervisor Richard Elias (District 5) and by Council Member Steve Leal (Ward V) for the city of Tucson.
Myers Neighborhood Association (MNA) was formed in 1999 to provide open channels of communications for the residents of Myers Neighborhood in order that they may make informed decisions on issues that affect the quality of life in this and other urban neighborhoods. Our mission statement is: ”Creating a family neighborhood together by helping each other.”
Any resident or property owner in MN is a member of the MNA. MNA considers all residents/owners in the neighborhood to be members of the organization and advocates on their behalf. MNA is governed by an elected board consisting of a President, Vickie Mesimer, Vice President, Mary Dryden, Vice President Liason to Businesses & Government, Pat Martin, Secretary, Anita Hess, Treasure, Gerrit Van Erven, and Member at Large, Rudi Cehak. The board meets on the Second Tuesday of each month at the Presidents home (with the exception of the months June-August); the board meetings are open to all MN residents. Neighborhood meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at Myers-Ganoung Elementary School (with the exception of months June-August); the association meetings are open to all MN residents.
