Organizing People

The North River Commission unites more than 100 civic organizations, businesses, and institutions to improve the North River area. For 40 years, NRC has led efforts to support civic involvement, encourage participation, and welcome a mix of cultures, incomes, and lifestyles to build a healthy community.

Building Community

From the beginning NRC members have worked to protect and maintain the community's quality of life. The North River Commission seeks to build community by aggressively advocating for decent, affordable housing, quality education, open spaces, new jobs, and neighborhood business.

Planning for the Future

Together, the members of the North River Commission have attracted more than $150 million of investment, created or retained more than 3,500 jobs, and renovated or built more than 1,400 housing units. Everyday, the plans and dreams of the North River community are transformed into reality by people organizing themselves to improve the quality of life for all.
