The goal of the Corporate Matchmaking Program is to increase and diversify the level of resources for building communities at the neighborhood level. The NPC aims to bridge donor-responsiveness with neighborhood-driven initiatives. This program helps private businesses build civic participation in neighborhoods by matching financial resources to either develop or sustain projects. Often time’s corporations want to participate in neighborhood building but don’t know how. Over the past several years the Partnership Center has partnered with corporations such as the Scotts Company, Fifth Third Bank, Bank One, First Star, the Columbus Compact, Home Depot, Fishers Gardens in Reynoldsburg and the State of Ohio to make Central Ohio a great place to live.
Through the program, the Partnership Center is developing a "neighborhood opportunities bank" that consists of neighborhood projects suitable for matching with civic investors and civic investment objectives that require meaningful neighborhood participation. By linking opportunities with resources, the Partnership Center hopes to encourage innovation and reduce risk.
