The Neighborhood Partnership Center is the only place in Franklin County that provides a grants library consisting of every funder in the country. It is also a diversity library with resources on the latest topics of diversity.
The Grantsmanship Center also serves as a Proposal Development Center providing one-on-one training and consultation on designing good community building projects and grants. Last year the Grantsmanship Center welcomed over 400 persons who utilized the valuable resources of the Center.
The NPC library is the only place where community residents and leaders have access to the Foundation Center’s database on CD-ROM (FC). In addition to varied grant information, this file contains records for all known active foundations in the United States and for corporations who are giving programs.
The library houses a broad variety of books and manuals addressing topics ranging from non-profit management, grant writing to neighborhood crime prevention, national foundations and affordable housing strategies. The library has developed into an interactive resource center. The library is also equipped with a television and VCR to view our videos on practices in economic development and neighborhood development techniques. The library includes a computer center for proposal writing and features access to the Grantsmanship Center, which allows access to grant opportunities or resources and Neighborhoodlink. You will also find a meeting space and planning center.
The library comes equipped with computers for proposal writing and features access to The Grantsmanship Center, which allows access to a plethora of available grant resources, and to NeighborhoodLink, a website that provides community information and interactive communication.
The William Bennett Library is open everyday, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and every Tuesday until 9:00 pm. The library also remains open on the evenings in which classes are given, so be sure to look through the brochure to see when we are offering classes, and on those days you are also welcome to utilize the library and the computer center.
