Help is Here—We Have Another Tool

meet the goal of improving the appearance and cleanliness of our community. That tool is The City of Detroit?’s Department of Administrative Hearing. Communities like ours need effective tools to get neglectful owners to maintain their property.

We have a 5-point plan for the community, but given the apathy among residents we have not been able to move beyond the first point.

This year we need to seriously deal with the issues that negatively affect our community. When we walk through the neighborhood and talk with the residents, we receive a litany of complaints and statements about what needs to be done. When those offering advice are asked to attend a meeting or get involved in some meaningful way they refuse.
