Note that there are the official revaluation folks out to have the new revaluation values for our taxes...They are legit and may be walking around homes...BUT it is your call if you want to let them inside. You do have to let them inside.

However there are some reports that Oak Hill has had more criminal activity. I reported as have a few neighbors that youth are rifling thru open cars for change and such. I was one of those not wanting the doors to freeze and bingo I had papers and stuff strewn around and some change and a emergency dollar taken.

This is minor but people inside homes and knocking on doors in the middle of the night are a bit more serious. We need information if you have not been reporting these issues so the police can work with us to stop it despite the economic times.

Minor stuff for me and any other neighbors...I know a few folks mentioned a break in a neighborhood that is tough to begin with, but as long as it does not happen to us, that is the best story.

I think we have to watch out and be careful especially now, but crime sadly is going to happen

There were in fact 4 housebreaks since January 1st until now, and one was from an ex boyfriend, in the Oak Hill Sayles Plat areas. I think we certainly are blessed if we were not one of the three breaks, but we are not in any sort of crisis. Actually we are fortunate that people are watching as are the police in keeping the economic unfortunates from preying on our homes.

Dear Arthur and friends,

Be prepared for magazine salespeople to be visiting your home around 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  They could be legitimate; however, I am not taking risks by allowing them in my home.

One brazen salesman last Thursday 3/5, actually entered my home without permission.  I promptly asked him to leave.
