Although some people cringe when they hear it, ?“Volunteer?” is not a four-letter word. We would hate to think of what the world would be like if it weren?’t for volunteers. There can be many reasons to become a volunteer, but we think top on the list is wanting to help your fellow human beings. One of the suggestions to come out of the Annual Meeting held on April 7th was to start a block captain group. This is not a crime fighting organization. It would be to help out the Service Corporation with notifying the neighborhood of meetings/special events, possibly gathering suggestions or concerns from your building residents, organizing ?“block parties?”, holiday decorating contests, etc. This can be accomplished by building or by street, depending on how many volunteers we get.
PLEASE CONTACT KATE RAUSO AT 836-4478 TO BECOME A BLOCK CAPTAIN.
It really won?’t hurt at all!
