Curbs, Gutters, and Sidewalks! Oh, My!!

As a result of the neighborhood?’s participation in the Fight Back program, and with the inclusion of additional grants and matching money from the city, the neighborhood has been pledged $1.2 million for the construction of curbs and sidewalks on 17th Avenue, Colter Street, and Denton Street.

Construction will not begin until late 2001 due to additional surveys and potential problems including the possible relocation of light poles on Denton and the possible encroachment of irrigation canals into the right-of-way.
