The Board, in response to homeowners' wishes expressed at the annual meeting, is moving forward with improvements to the landscaping in the common areas. Volunteers have used xeriscape plants to embellish the flower beds around each lamppost. These plants are perennials and will flower all summer. Thanks to all those who helped!
The remaining beds in the north entrance will be revitalized by a landscaping company. The Board is currently receiving bids from several companies with their ideas and costs to improve the look of that area. Live plants will be used in these areas - xeriscape perennials as much as possible to minimize future costs and maximize the beauty of our community!
The current landscaping contractor has agreed to replace the Asian Jasmine in the north entrance median strip and the Crepe Myrtle at the "T" at their cost since their poor maintenance last summer caused the plants to die. The Board is also working hard with this company to improve their routine maintenance and upkeep efforts. If unsuccessful, another company will be engaged for landscape maintenance.
