OMNA Minutes of September 25, 2005

The Oaks of Montecito Association meeting was held on Sept. 25, 2006 at 1516 Buena Vista Drive.
The meeting was called to order by Fern Richey and Kathryn Neiswender at 7:20 P.M. Hosts, Ray and Susan Croff, welcomed 20 neighbors to the meeting.

Volunteers and Dates for Lawn Mowing and Tree Trimming-
Volunteers were solicited to mow and trim trees on the Hickory Creek thoroghfare. All volunteers are welcome and are asked to set aside time on October 14th. It was stressed that the trees, grass, and fences on HIckory Creek are the first impression of the neighborhood.

Entry Ways and Irrigation-
A neighbor-owner of North Texas Lushlawn Sprinklers, Inc. has volunteered to install a sprinkler system for entry ways for cost of the system. He has already confirmed that the water and a water meter are accessible to be used for that purpose. All other entry way improvements will be scheduled for the spring.

Proposed By-Laws-
John Miler pesented the proposed by-laws and opened the floor for discussion and comment. After the discussion, the by-laws were unanimously approved.

Officer Nominations-
Upon passage of these by-laws, nominations were taken for the eight positions for the board of the association. These positions consist of the following:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Historian
Hosp[tality Committee Chair
Beautification Committee Chair
News Letter/Website Committee Chair

Nominations for the Association's officers can be made by submitting the name, address, phone number, and the office of interest to Fern Richey at 1805 Buena Vista Drive through out October 2, 2006. At that time ballots will be prepared and distributed through e-mail (if available) or by mail by October 10th. Ballots will need to be postmarked by October 20th or delivered to the next meeting to be held on October 24, 2006.

Election Meeting-
The board election/confirmation and general meeting will be held on October 24, 2006, at 7:00 P.M. at the Croff residence, 1516 Buena Vista Drive. The minutes of the meeting will be posted on the website. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
